    Hey Joe,

We meet at NYCC and had a brief regarding your blog and your interviews. I even mentioned how I commented here regarding your interviews with Dennis and Ms. Tendertush. I don’t know if you remember me or not, but I did purchase SCAM #1 from you and promised I would comment on it after I read it.

Well, I read it and I have to be honest with you — it is the best darn “small press independent” book I have ever read, and I read many in my time. Everything about it is flat-out awesome — story, pacing, characters, artwork — you don’t skip a beat or skimp out on anything. I absolutely loved it!

What I loved the most about it was the fact that the “superpowers” of some of the characters were presented in a very subtle manner. It did not feel like a superhero book at all and that’s a good thing — considering your interviews are to prove that comic books are more than just superheroes. To me, it felt like a black ops, espionage-type of book. The character development, along with some of the mystery elements you threw in, were done very well. Major kudos to you for an excellent job on your first book!

Whenever you publish the second issue, definitely let me know so I can pick it up. In the meantime, I want to wish you all the best in this future endeavor. I’ll be here and I look forward to it.
